You do not have to select a credit card because it is being offered by the college you can go online and find one that is best suited for your budget. You should not skip a payment make sure that you are on time and if possible pay more than the minimum required each month. The minimum normally covers the monthly interest and a small percentage goes toward the balance due. In order to get out of debt the best thing is to pay more than the amount required and you will find that soon your debt will not be over powering.
