Can a student loan debt collecter put a lein on a person’s house in the state of TX?
If the loan is in default can a lein be placed?

    Not if you pay the debt you are obligated to pay they can’t.

    The lender must sue you and obtain a judgment against you first.

    The lender can then record the judgment and place a lien on the property because of the judgment against you, not because of the loan.
