what’s a good student credit card for me to apply for?

I want to start building my credit history because I have none. I’m a full time student and I have a part time job. What is a good student credit card for me to apply for? I need one that doesn’t require a co signer. What are the chances of me getting approved? If so what would the balance on the card be?

Discover card actually wants students to sign up.
There is data out there that shows that most people will continue using their first card for decades.

Capital One is also a good card. But if you are late – they the most aggressive at collecting. Investment wise – this one is the best.

You are looking for a card with the lowest interest rate and no fees. How’s your credit? Do you know your FICO score? A good score is something over 720. To pull your FICO score and credit report, go to. Your FICO score will dictate the likelihood of approval for the credit card. To figure out which cards have the best rates out there, go to: . I see that Citibank has a student card with a 12.99% APR, which isn’t good but not awful either. Try to find a card under 12% if possible. You may also want to see if you qualify for a credit union and try to get a card through them. Credit Unions can often have better rates. If one of your parents, siblings, etc is a member of the military, you can qualify for a USAA credit card which is really good company that doesn’t play a lot of tricks that many other cards try, e.g., not telling folks upfront what interest rates or terms they’ll get, jacking up your rate if you’re a few days late, charging outrageous late, over-limit and balance transfer fees.
