I would get a Credit card through a Credit Union they are easy to join and the intrest rate should be low. the only thing is all credit cards charge you an inactivity fee if you don't yous them so many times a year. so watch out for that. also if you want to build your credit up don't just let the card sit there use it once and a while and pay it right off so you don't have to pay any intrest. try and stay away from the cards that offer 0% intrest for 1 year and cards to good to be true they most likely are to good to be true and there are hidden fees and clauses on everything.

Capital One worked great for me!! No interest for a year. I actually used that as my first credit card when I went off to college too. It helped me to pay for all my immediate expenses like a computer and living necessities when I moved into my apartment. And I was able to pay it all off within a year so I didn't even have to pay interest. Very plain and simple plan. I would definitely suggest it for building credit.

Get a card through your bank. I was declined everywhere else (like American Express, Capitol One, ect) because I never had credit. But my bank gave me a line of credit which is probably the best way to go.

I would contact Wachovia and ask them if they offer a line of credit.
I can't honestly say for sure because I don't go through them.
But I can't see why they wouldn't.
